In Honor Women's History Month

As Women's History Month comes to a close, we want to make space for all of the ways women show up in the world. From Grandma, Mother to Auntie, advocate to nurturer, best friend to protector. The ways in which women have shapeshifted and maintained in ordinary life have laid the framework for many. We always speak to the "exceptional" or "radical" within individuals but understand that is what womanhood is. Exceptional. Radical. Whether the frontlines are Grandma's prayers or the generational curses are found and broken. There is a way that women go to war that is intuitively tactical and wisdom-filled. Yes, we have highlighted some transformational women this month, but there is also you. The you that has the greater capacity for empathy. The you that does the work because it has to be done. The you that advocates for yourself and others. The work of women transcends the narratives of what women should be. Women are multipliers of inspired thought and execution, and they have historically amplified life by simply existing.
As we do what we do here at OTO, we would like to remind you of the extraordinary that exists within the ordinary and the day-to-day. Conclude this Women's History Month by acknowledging yourself or the women in your life. Acknowledge all of the work done in the unknown and the paradigm-shifting experiences and wisdom that would not exist without women. Honor all that women are. Honor every element of womanhood because it has never needed permission. It just is. Exceptionally. Radically. Graciously. Is.
